Wycombe Wanderers Sports & Education Trust, the charitable arm of Wycombe Wanderers FC, are delighted to announce the launch of a new employability course – Changing Rooms – in partnership with the EFL Trust*, DWP and Buckinghamshire Council.
Changing Rooms is an 8 – 12-week employability course targeting those individuals that face substantial barriers to finding work. Starting in January 2021, Changing Rooms is free to anyone in receipt of Universal Credit or other legacy benefits, but potential participants should note that in order to take part you must be referred to the project by Job Centre Plus / DWP via your dedicated Work Coach.
WWSET utilises its Health & Education departments to deliver units that develop the mental and physical aspects of finding employment, ultimately improving mental health and physical wellbeing.
Employability is developed by teaching key skills such as team building, interpersonal skills, CV writing and money management with the option of also taking part in a digital skills course.
Group information sessions will take place in December online. Please contact mark.heath@wwfc.com or speak to your work coach for more information.
**Please note due to the current restrictions’ places are limited to 12.**
