Warm Hub

Youth Club

“Wycombe Wanderers Foundation together with Wycombe Wanderers FC and supported by Buckinghamshire Council & club partner Dreams were thrilled to have been able to provide our Warm Hub provision for over 65’s from our local community here at Adam’s Park.

Running twice a week between January & March the Hub was accessible to all over 65’s and a +1, with everybody receiving a professionally cooked meal from Will Shaw and his team.

The Hub:

  • Provided 920 meals.
  • Catered for 130+ guests.
  • Over 300+ volunteer hours.
  • 24 evenings open.

Luke Godfrey, Head of Inclusion at the Foundation, said: “Being able to deliver such an impactful provision during a difficult time for many was extremely fulfilling and I am proud of the hard work everyone involved put into it to make sure it was a success. The food was great and excellently cooked by Will and his team, so to be able to add the social side and support people to meet new and old friends whilst at the Hub was very pleasing. A thank you to the club for allowing us to use a welcoming space within the stadium, the Ex-Players Association for their continuous support and the team of volunteers who attended each week!”.

Whilst our winter Warm Hub has now come to an end, please keep your eyes peeled for news regarding a new summer Cool Hub opening soon…”
