Wycombe Wanderers Sports & Education Trust Receives Equipment Boost From The PFA And Sports Directory UK

Wycombe Wanderers Sports & Education Trust, the official charity of Wycombe Wanderers Football Club, has received a big boost recently after Sports Directory UK – on behalf of SportsDirect.com who are the Official Community Equipment Partner of the Professional Football Association – donated a supply of new Sports Equipment Packs to us.

Last year Sports Directory were able to successfully provide 67 EFL Community Club Organisations (CCO’s) such as WWSET with Sports Equipment Packs which generated great feedback and saw the equipment being put to extensive use throughout the UK. Off the back of these results Sports Direct kindly committed to donating even more equipment to CCO’s during 2020 and WWSET’s allocation was gratefully received recently.

The equipment packs, which consist of goals, balls, bibs, hurdles and other sports training equipment, will be put to good use at WWSET’s community projects throughout 2021, all of which aim to engage local people of all ages in health, education, sports participation and inclusion based activities.

Following the receipt of the equipment, Paul Foley, Head of WWSET, said…

This generous donation will really help us as a charity to engage our community in high quality and positive activities. We spend a considerable amount of money each year on equipment to deliver our sessions and donations such as this allow us to make significant savings and instead spend that money on other community based provision for the benefit of local people.

In addition to us being able to utilise the new equipment, we’re really pleased to announce that we’ll also be donating some of it to our partner schools that we deliver the Premier League Primary Stars project in, therefore allowing all of their pupils to also gain from this fantastically generous scheme. Wycombe-based Hamilton Primary School and Beechview Academy have already both received an equipment pack from us and on behalf of them, plus everybody at WWSET, I’d like to thank Sports Directory UK, SportsDirect.com and The PFA for their generosity.
