WWF Launch New Partner Club Programme with Bourne End Junior SC

Wycombe Wanderers Foundation is proud to announce the launch of its new Partner Club Programme, an exciting initiative designed to strengthen relationships with our local grassroots football clubs by sharing knowledge, resources, and experiences throughout the season. The programme aims to create a collaborative network between the Foundation and our local community clubs, offering tailored support from coach development, player pathways, workshops, and exclusive experiences for their players, coaches and families.

Our first event under the new initiative took place in partnership with our first Partner Club, Bourne End Junior Sports Club. Coaches & volunteers from their U7-U12 age groups joined us for an insights evening at our Elite Development Academy in Burnham, led by Foundation staff, focusing on our coaching philosophy, syllabus, session planning & design, and building a positive football environment. Participants had the opportunity to connect with our UEFA-qualified Foundation coaches, see best practice in action, and gain valuable insight into our player development pathways, reinforcing the programme’s mission to support football at every level of the community.

Speaking on the launch, Andy Homent, Head of Sports Participation @ Wycombe Wanderers Foundation said:

“I am delighted to introduce our WWF Partner Club Programme. Grassroots clubs are at the heart of our local communities and often serve as a child’s first introduction into organised sport, where lifelong friendships and positive experiences are built. This initiative allows us to work more closely with them, sharing best practice, supporting their role in the community and providing memorable experiences for players, coaches and their families. Our first event with Bourne End Junior Sports Club set a fantastic standard, and we’re excited to build on this momentum with them over the coming weeks, months and seasons with more events, workshops and opportunities for their club.”

Matt Todd, BEJSC Chairman added:

We’re incredibly proud to be part of the Wycombe Wanderers Foundation Partner Clubs Programme. This relationship is about far more than football; it’s about bringing people together and creating meaningful opportunities. By sharing resources, knowledge and experiences, we can help provide children and their families with pathways to grow, develop and feel part of something bigger. Ultimately, this partnership strengthens not only our club, but the wider local community we’re all proud to represent.
