CHERRY RED RECORDS BECOME A FRIEND OF WWSET

Wycombe Wanderers Sports & Education Trust (WWSET) is delighted to announce that London-based record label, Cherry Red Records, have signed up to the Friends of WWSET programme for the 2021/22 season.

Cherry Red Records is one of the top British independent record labels, and was founded by Iain McNay in 1978. The label has released recordings by Dead Kennedys, Everything But the Girl, The Monochrome Set, and Felt, among others, as well as the compilation album Pillows & Prayers

This deal will see WWSET and Cherry Red Records working together for the next 12 months initially on a wide range of projects, such as cross promotion of media activity.

Wycombe Wanderers supporters will not be unfamiliar with Cherry Red Records, seeing as they have sponsored the kits and/or training kits for several years now, including the magnificent new Chairboys training kit, available now from the Wycombe Wanderers online store.

Managing Director, Adam Velasco, is a keen Chairboys fan, and in 2019, pointed out that it was a proud moment for him to combine two of his major passions in life – music and football – and that it was a real privilege to see Cherry Red Records’ logo emblazoned across the front of the home shirt.

Head of Fundraising and Communications at WWSET, Mark Fawkes, added: “Cherry Red Records and Wycombe Wanderers Football Club are two brands that have gone hand in hand for many years. Having the support of such a recognisable brand around Adams Park means the world to us at WWSET as a charitable organisation, and is a marker that we have put together a really competitive Friends of WWSET package.”

The Friends of WWSET programme is now open to creative and forward-thinking companies in the High Wycombe area. For more information, or to sign your company up, click here
