Chairgirls back in FA Cup action at The 1878, this Sunday!

The Chairgirls return to FA Cup action on Sunday, where they are set to host Tier 7 side, Comets FC in the Third Round Qualifying of the competition. A win in this round of the competition will see the Chairgirls progress of the First Round Proper of the FA Cup, which sees the introduction of Tier 3 & 4 clubs in the draw of potential opponenets.

The Blues enter the weekend off the back of a strong run of results, as they have remained unbeaten in their five previous fixtures, with two clean sheets on the bounce. Most recently, the Chairgirls demonstrated a strong attacking performance as they handed Badshot Lea a 5-0 defeat in their visit to The 1878 last Sunday.

The visitors also enter the bout on a run of good form, with an unbeaten streak of three games across all competitions, and in fine goal-scoring shape.

Tickets for the game are available on the door at £5 per person, and U16s going free!

The 1878 Stadium has covered seating for 300 in the main stand, while there is also a small covered section on the far side of the pitch with standing room only. Supporters can watch from the concrete path behind the fencing which surrounds the artificial 3G surface.

If travelling by train, the nearest station is Burnham Railway Station (Elizabeth Line), served by buses 5, 12, 53 and 702. It’s a 1.7mile/30 mins walk to Burnham Football Club.

There are approximately 100 free parking spaces at the 1878 Stadium. There is also wheelchair access to the ground, with access toilets both inside the Blues Bar and Cafe and within the Stadium itself.

Parking is offered on a first come first served basis. Fines have been issued by the police for parking illegally on the roads outside the stadium.
