Apprenticeship Opportunities Available!

Wycombe Wanderers Sports & Education Trust (WWSET) are excited to be able to offer new apprentice opportunities for the 2021-22 season.

Despite the global pandemic, Wycombe Wanderers Sports & Education Trust (the official charity of Wycombe Wanderers FC) have created a fantastic opportunity for young people to start a full-time career within football by offering three Level 2 Community Activity Coach Standard Apprenticeship’s starting in September 2021.

This is a terrific way for any young person who is passionate about a career within football and sports delivery to grow and develop in a highly rewarding role. The post holders will spend 80% of their working week assisting our highly experienced and FA/UEFA qualified full-time team to deliver sessions including (but not limited to):

  • In-School Coaching sessions
  • After School Clubs
  • Elite Development Academy sessions
  • Saturday Morning Clubs
  • Holiday Soccer Schools

The other 20% of the post holder’s time will be spent on their academic studies to support their vocational learning.

The WWSET workplace experience in itself is invaluable in terms of professional development, but when putting this alongside the academic & coaching qualifications, it makes this a strong forward step into the sports delivery and sports development industry.  Furthermore, an apprenticeship allows people to earn whilst they learn and could well lead to permanent employment within the WWSET charity following completion of the apprenticeship.

Please click on the link below to read more about the successful outcomes achieved by our previous apprentices, two of whom now work full time within the organisation:

  • Jason Carr – Sports Participation Delivery Officer
  • Georgia Grou – Community Health Delivery Officer,

Furthermore, Jack Fowler is now in his second year with WWSET as a Digital Marketing apprentice.
