Adult Disability Multi Sports

Adult Disability Multi Sports

Our adult disability programme is a year-long (April 2022 – April 2023) physical activity project for local adults with disabilities (18+).

The project, which has been kindly funded by ‘Heart of Bucks’, the community foundation of Buckinghamshire (www.heartofbucks.org) specifically aims to:

  • Increase participants levels of physical activity
  • Improve participants physical healthy
  • Improve participants mental health
  • Increase participants levels of social interaction

The sessions, which take place at the Gateway Club each week (Wrights Meadow in High Wycombe, fully accessible) consist of a range of fun, engaging and inclusive physical activities.

Wycombe Wanderers Foundation recognise that sport and physical activity can play an important role in the lives of people with disabilities and we are obviously keen to maximise participants at these sessions. We also recognise that there can be certain barriers faced by those with disabilities when it comes to participating in sport and physical activity.
