Wycombe Wanderers Foundation are proud to share our Social Value report for 2026. We are so proud of all we have achieved, and we could not have done any of it without your ongoing support for the work we do in and around our local community.
We are excited to announce that our:
Total Social Value = £15,707,613
Social Value for Education and Employment = £2,356,188
We achieved this figure through many of our provisions, such as Street Soccer, which runs weekly, and our involvement with Premier League Primary Stars. The Premier League and professional football clubs’ appeal are able to inspire children to embark on their own journeys and education. This is a free programme offered to every Primary School in England and Wales, and is created by teachers for teachers to use. PLPS has had a clear positive effect on many children in the area- inspiring and giving them encouragement to become the best versions of themselves. Also, we worked with 8 young people through the job centre ay YMCA to help them obtain their level 1 FA coaching qualification, and offered work experience to help them gain employment, and confidence.
Social Value for Mental Health = £292,770
Many of our provisions (for example Chatty Cafe, Warm Hub, Wellbeing Walk, and After School Clubs) have positively benefited our participants’ mental health, as told by the participants themselves. Here are some statistics from our participants at the Girls Extra Curricular Football Club at Beechview Academy:
Social Value for Physical Health = £306,104
We run many provisions to stay active and keep fit, such as Walking Football, Chair Yoga, Strictly Dancing. Here are some statistics and fun facts from our Strictly Dancing Provision:
- Oldest participant: 97 ½
years old - Over 225 dances danced
- 75,000 steps taken over the project
- 1500 lunches consumed
- Infinite stories told and
- laughs had
- A walking stick tossed aside!
Social Value for Community Outcomes = £3,551,268
We are thrilled with the amount of feedback we have gained from our participants at our Provisions, highlighting the benefit and positive impact it has had on them individually. Wellbeing walk, Chair Yoga, HAF Camps, are just some to name. We open our provisions to everyone from all walks of life and all ages, and love to see the benefit for the community. Here are some quotes from our participants of the Warm Hub:
“It has helped knowing I can join others and not just sit at home.”
“Great food, company, all helpers very helpful. Making me feel safe, welcoming, great team, all round”
“I would just like to thank you for such good times.”
“I have found the hub good in so many ways. Seeing how the hub staff work so hard to look after us. Seeing we are fed and watered. Thank you all so much for all you have done for us. I feel tearful thinking about it. Thank you”
Social Value for Subjective Wellbeing = £9,136,268
Wellbeing is such an important thing, and hopefully our provisions will be able to help that. We have Saturday morning Football Clubs, Holiday Soccer Camps, Birthday Parties, Wellbeing Walks, Chair Yoga, Lightbulb Cafe, and more!
Here are some quotes from a story of one of our Warm Hub participants!
“Then there was the Lightbulb Café. And then the dancing thing. So you’re strengthening that friendship. You start to find yourself getting warmed up. Widening your friendship group, yeah.Things like that.”
“I could talk about Green Shield Stamps at Lightbulb.I could talk about national service: I’ve got a couple of other things I could talk about… and the dancing as well.”
“It does make me more confident, to try and do it without my stick, but I’ve got a little bit of a problem with my breathing. I struggle, and I didn’t ought to be struggling. I should be doing it. The exercises may help, and the dancing should help too.”
Thank you to all of you who attend and support our Provisions.
