Wycombe Wanderers Foundation was delighted to welcome former EDA player Oscar Sandiford back to Adams Park on Friday, as he generously donated over thirty pairs of Skechers football boots to support our charity’s football programmes.

Oscar began his footballing journey with our Elite Development Academy (EDA) as an Under-7, spending five years (2016-2021) honing his skills under the guidance of our coaches. His development saw him successfully earn a place in Crystal Palace’s academy before recently making the move to North London, where he now represents Tottenham Hotspur, and has since become a Skechers Football Athlete!
As part of his sponsorship, Oscar kindly chose Wycombe Wanderers Foundation as the recipient of these boots, a donation that will significantly enhance our footballing provisions across various programmes.
Reflecting on his time at the Foundation, Oscar shared:
“I always enjoyed my time at the EDA and half-term camps. I played in different positions to help me understand the game better and made some great friends. I was also lucky enough to play on the pitch and be a ball carrier, so I’m happy that I can give something back.”
Our EDA Manager Lewis Bloom praised Oscar’s generosity and progress, saying:
“Oscar is a very talented player, and it’s fantastic to see him thriving in the next stage of his journey. It’s an honour to have been thought of by Oscar and his family for this donation. We hope to continue making the same positive impact on all the young players we work with.”
Everyone at Wycombe Wanderers Foundation extends a heartfelt thank you to Oscar and Skechers Football for their generosity. We will be eagerly following Oscar’s journey and wish him every success as he continues to progress and kick on in his footballing career.
