Wycombe Wanderers Foundation are thrilled to announce their Boot Bank initiative, running throughout January 2025. This community-driven campaign aims to collect pre-loved football boots and trainers, which will be distributed to underprivileged individuals in and around Wycombe.
What is the Boot Bank?
The Boot Bank is a program designed to provide quality footwear to those who might not have access to it otherwise. Football boots and trainers—essential tools for many young players—can be expensive, and this initiative ensures that no one is left out due to financial constraints. By donating your gently used boots, you’re giving them a new life and directly helping others enjoy the beautiful game.
Donation Details:
- What: We are collecting football boots and/or trainers of any type or size (trainers, Astros, moulds, studs, etc.). All footwear must be in reasonable condition. We kindly ask that boots are cleaned and bagged up before being donated.
- Where:
- Adams Park Collection Point: There will be a bin labelled “Boot Bank” in the club shop from Saturday 4th January to Saturday 8th February 2025.
- EDA/GDA Sessions: During the week commencing 6th January, boots can also be donated at your child’s session.
- When: Donations will be accepted from January 4th to February 8th, 2025.
How Does It Work?
- Drop off your boots at one of our collection points.
- Our Foundation team will collect and distribute the boots to underprivileged schools, prioritizing those with the highest number of children receiving free school meals.
Why Participate?
By donating, you’re directly contributing to making football accessible to all. Your unused boots could spark joy and opportunity for someone who loves the game but lacks proper footwear.
Additional Notes:
- Arindam Bandral, our Community Engagement Officer, will be present during EDA/GDA sessions in the week commencing 6th January to assist with collections.
- If you can’t donate during this week, you can still drop off boots at Adams Park up until February 8th.
- Thank you to our partners Grundon for donation our boot bank containers!
