Our new Walking Football programme in association with Age Uk Buckinghamshire kicked off today to a great reception from everyone involved. The all-inclusive sessions are for those aged over 50 with a long term health condition and will seek to improve physical health in a fun and friendly atmosphere.
The sessions will take place every Thursday, and the action runs for two hours from 10 am until 12 noon. The sessions are made up of one hour dedicated to walking football – the beautiful game at a slightly slower pace – and the second hour is dedicated to socialising with your fellow walking footballers and new mates.
Today’s session and the following sessions to come are at Lane End Playing Fields, The Row, Lane End, High Wycombe, HP14 3JR.
The first two sessions (24th June and 1st July) are completely free but in order for us to maintain a safe environment for everyone, and also to ensure appropriate staffing levels, these sessions MUST be booked in advance on the link at the bottom of this page.

What to wear:
- Comfortable clothing that you are able to move in
- Astroturf trainers or football boots if you own them
- Shin Pads if you have them
What to bring:
- A bottle of water
- Trainers/appropriate indoor shoes for the social hour
