Wycombe Wanderers Sports & Education Trust (WWSET), the charitable arm of Wycombe Wanderers Football Club, is seeking an enthusiastic and innovative candidate to fill the role of Head of Education.
Based at Adams Park, the home of Wycombe Wanderers FC, WWSET is a thriving charity that exists to educate, motivate, and inspire the local community using the power of sport and the brand of Wycombe Wanderers Football Club.
The Head of Education will play the leading role in maximising WWSET’s education related offerings by being responsible for devising, developing, managing and delivering numerous existing and new educational programmes/activities. The successful candidate will also sit on WWSET’s Senior Leadership Team which exists to be accountable for a thriving WWSET culture that creates positive outcomes.

Role Accountabilities & Key Duties, in full:
1. Offer appealing and engaging education related activities to as wide a range of the local population as possible using football and the club’s brand to help raise achievement and attainment levels, particularly in literacy, numeracy, enterprise and PSHE. *Please note that this role is not solely concerned with delivery to school age children, but the community as a whole.
2. Gather knowledge and information on local community education related needs and issues
3. Identify, develop and maintain strategic relationships with key stakeholders/external organisations that will assist WWSET in achieving its education related aims and objectives (including, but not limited to local Schools/Colleges, County Council, The Premier League, The English Football League Trust, The Professional Footballers Association, and the County FA)
4. Undertake relevant tasks that will allow WWSET to achieve registered training provider status for the delivery of a varied range of qualifications
5. Source external funding streams and successfully plan and write applications to achieve income to carry out activities that meet the aims and objectives of WWSET’s education programme
6. Plan, organise and deliver education related community events and activities
7. Increase the awareness and popularity of WWSET’s education related activities via effective publicity and promotion
8. Recruit, manage and develop delivery staff involved with education related activities
9. Manage all education related activities in accordance with financial targets & budgets – most notably at present WWSET’s Premier League Primary Stars project, Future Goals project and Changing Rooms project
10. Identify and develop opportunities to create operating growth of the WWSET education department
11. Consistently and accurately monitor and evaluate all current and future education related activity in order to demonstrate impact and achievements
12. Produce data and reports that demonstrate the impact and value of programmes being delivered
13. Devise programmes that ensure individuals and groups of participants are motivated, stretched and challenged at appropriate levels across all interventions.
14. Work with local schools to identify underachieving pupils and ensure appropriate interventions are offered by WWSET
15. Devise programmes that utilise Adams Park Stadium as an inspirational learning environment
16. Support WWSET & WWFC in their aims and objectives at all times
17. Ensure compliance with all relevant WWSET policies at all times
18. Ensure compliance with all relevant legal, regulatory, ethical and social requirements at all times
19. Maintain a professional image at all times when representing WWSET & WWFC
20. Keep confidential any information gained regarding the Charity, Club and its personnel
21. Maintain a flexible approach to work at all times.
22. Undertake other duties and responsibilities as required by the charity from time to time
23. Attend training courses and CPD sessions as and when required
24. Maximise the frequency and impact of player appearances at education related activities
Salary and Process:
Salary: £29,000.00-£38,000.00 per year
