Kirk Williams

Head of Sports Participation

Kirk joined Wycombe Wanderers Foundation many years ago as an apprentice. During his time with the charity Kirk progressed into various roles and now overlooks both our very successful Elite & Development Academy and our Activity Programme strands of operation.

Kirk has a relentless passion for coaching and developing young footballers to be the very best they can be and his vast experience has assisted him in developing his coaching skills to an extremely high level. Kirk is a UEFA A-Licence coach with over 15 years’ experience working within both Category 1 & 3 academy environments.

Away from the office and training pitch, Kirk enjoys spending time with his family and as much time as possible on the golf course.

Andy Homent

Activity Programme Manager

Andrew joined the Wycombe Wanderers Foundation team in April 2015 as Lead Delivery Officer and quickly improved the quality of our coaches delivery through a programme of detailed training.

Following on from the departure of the previous Activity Programme Manager in October 2015 Andrew was promoted and now leads the department which encompasses all our community coaching activities such as schools work and holiday courses.

An extremely likeable character, Andrew uses his passion for football to engage with various stakeholders and increase our levels of delivery to ensure that as many local people as possible are participating in sport and reaping the benefits that sport can offer.

Luke Godfrey

Head of Inclusion & Cohesion

Luke joined Wycombe Wanderers Foundation in January 2022 following 6 years of working within the sport charity industry, including spells at other football club charitable arms including Watford FC and MK Dons.

Luke is passionate about using sport as a tool to facilitate community development and enjoys supporting people of all ages, particularly those who are currently disengaged, to reach their full potential.

A keen football fan, outside of work Luke can be found coaching at his grassroots club, Everett Rovers, as well as watching live matches when possible.

Lewis Bloom

Elite Development Academy Manager

Lewis began coaching at the Wycombe Wanderers Foundation EDA sessions in June 2015 while studying for his Master’s degree at Chichester University.

Due to his fantastic coaching skills, excellent rapport with parents and the positive learning environment that he created while with us part-time, he was the outstanding candidate when a full-time position became available.

Lewis has now been with us for over 3 years as a full-time member of staff and holds the role of our Elite Development Academy Manager.

Lewis manages both our boys and girls EDA pathways while also taking the lead in developing our EDA coaching team.  Lewis currently has his youth award and is a UEFA B licenced coach and is looking to continue his coach education by enrolling onto a UEFA A-Licence in the near future.

Charlie Lauri

Delivery Officer (Sports Participation)

Charlie is in his second spell of employment with Wycombe Wanderers Foundation, having worked for us part-time from 2014 to 2016, before leaving to expand his knowledge at other clubs such as Reading FC & Chelsea.

Charlie is one of our WWSET Delivery Officers and is responsible for leading high-quality sessions out in the community as part of our Activity Programme & EDA offerings.

Charlie holds his UEFA B-License and FA Goalkeeping Level 2 and, with all the knowledge he has picked up from his many years of coaching, is a huge asset to the Foundation.

Charlie is looking to work towards his UEFA A-License and the UEFA B Goalkeeping License in the near future.

Outside of work, Charlie is a player for his local side Woodley United.

Jason Carr

Delivery Officer

Jason is a Delivery Officer who joined the team back in September 2019, initially as an apprentice, after previously working for Hercules Sports for 18 months.

Jason currently holds his FA Level 2 football coaching award as well as an AFPE Level 3 Certificate in Supporting Delivery of PE and School Sports. In the near future Jason hopes to continue his development by completing his UEFA B-Licence.

Since being with us, Jason has worked closely with a number of schools providing high quality in-school and after-school coaching sessions. He also delivers on our holiday camps providing fun, engaging days of football. Furthermore, Jason works within the Foundations Elite Development Academy, where he passes on his knowledge to the players coming through the academy.

Outside of work, Jason is 1st team coach at Aylesbury Vale Dynamos FC. He enjoys spending time with friends and family and loves being out on the golf course with his mates.

Ashely Lamb

Delivery Officer (Sports Participation)

Ashley joined Wycombe Wanderers Foundation as a casual community coach in 2014 while completing his FA Level 2.

After gaining valuable experience at our after-school clubs and holiday soccer schools he pushed to expand his knowledge at the university level. On the completion of his degree in Sports Coaching, Ashley took on a full-time role with us in the summer of 2019.

He has since worked closely with a number of schools in the area, and within WW Foundation’s Elite Development Academy, providing young players with exceptional learning experiences through his sessions. Bringing high levels of enthusiasm and work ethic, Ashley has the desire to further expand his expertise and complete his UEFA B licence in the near future.

Outside of work Ashley enjoys spending time with his family and friends, traveling the world and playing a number of sports including table tennis and American football.

Will Allen

Schools Football Officer

Will joined Wycombe Wanderers Foundation in January 2022 as a School’s Football Officer having graduated from Royal Holloway University in 2020 and completed his PGCert in Education Studies in 2021. Before joining the team Will worked as a holiday activity leader and enjoys working with young people.

Will loves watching and playing sport and is passionate about football. He hopes to combine his interest in education and sport in this role.

Peter Lerner

Peter and his family have been High Wycombe residents since 1998.

After an eventful career of more than 30 years in local government, Peter formed his own consultancy in 2005, specialising in management reviews, training and mentoring within local authorities, also making use of his professional qualification as a town planner. He is an accredited Coach / Mentor and an accredited Mediator.

Peter is also an experienced School Governor, specialising in safeguarding and equalities, and is passionate about providing the very best opportunities for young people whatever their background.

A season ticket holder at Wycombe Wanderers since 2002, Peter was on the Board of Wycombe Wanderers Trust between 2018 and 2021, co-founded the Wycombe Wanderers Disabled Supporters Association, and is  delighted to serve as a Trustee of Wycombe Wanderers Foundation, where he is keen to support their superb work within our local communities.

Adam Velasco

Adam grew up in High Wycombe and has been Managing Director of Cherry Red Records for nearly 20 years. Cherry Red Records is one of the most respected and successful independent labels in the UK, as well as being great supporters of grassroots football for over 20 years due to their sponsorships of many leagues in the non-league pyramid as well as football league clubs such as AFC Wimbledon, and of course Wycombe Wanderers.

Since 2015 Adam has also been a director of the fast growing Activate Management group, who are the leading provider of sport specific and multi activity childcare in the UK, as well as delivering residential courses for the government’s NCS scheme and managing commercial activities of many leading sporting personalities. In 2019 Cherry Red/Activate partnered up with one of their clients, Olympic Gymnastic medallist Nile Wilson, to open the first of what they hope to be many gymnastic academies, offering coaching to children and adults of all ages and ability.

Adam is a passionate sports fan who spends most of his free time watching Wycombe Wanderers FC and attending sporting events around the world. He is also a huge believer in giving young people the chance to enjoy sports.

Derek Lovelock

Married with two children and five grandchildren, Derek has lived locally to High Wycombe for 45 years. He spent his career in fashion retailing, during which he was a Main Board Member of Storehouse PLC and also Sears PLC. He was Chairman of Aurora Fashions comprising Karen Millen, Coast and Warehouse and latterly Chairman of Mamas & Papas and also Jack Wills Ltd.

Derek is currently Chairman of Joe Browns Ltd. and also The Children’s Furniture company.  In 2013, he was appointed Honorary Professor in Business and Society from Glasgow Caledonian University.

Derek is a Trustee of Richard House Children’s Hospice in East London and Chairs the charity’s Trading Company.  As Richard House is focussed very much on young people with little of their lives left to them, Derek is excited to be involved with Wycombe Wanderers Foundation which in contrast is about enhancing and improving the future lives of young people.

Yvette Thomas

Yvette has worked with Buckinghamshire Council for the past 20 years – initially as a School Improvement Adviser and currently as Equalities and School Improvement Manager for Children’s Services. An educator for the past 30 years she has worked in a range of educational institutions and has Secondary Headship experience. She has spoken at national conferences on partnership working with schools on Community Cohesion issues and has supported over 60 schools in the County via the Linking Network to work in pairs on the diversity and community cohesion agenda.
